SIRENA AND SAN PEDRILLO OVERNIGHT
The tour starts at 6:00 am at the main beach of Drake Bay, Playa Colorada. We take the boat to Sirena Station, this trip lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, with luck, on the boat ride we will have the opportunity to see marine animals such as whales, dolphins, etc..
We disembark on the beach of the Sirena Area, where we will put on our shoes to begin the first hike.
In this tour the trails are short, well marked, and flat. The objective of this part of the tour is to interact with the group and try to see as many animals as possible, since in the Sirena area the animals are more accustomed to humans, and there are few big predators. The most common animals to see are small mammals such as monkeys, coatis, agoutis, etc.
This hike ends at noon, when we take the boat to the San Pedrillo Area.
The boat ride between Sirena and San Pedrillo takes about 45 minutes, we disembark in the wildest area of Corcovado.
THIS IS WHERE THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!
In this tour the trails are irregular, wilder and in a more natural environment, we start walking to the San Pedrillo Waterfall where we will have lunch and refresh ourselves in fresh water pools.
The objective of this part of the tour is to get to know one of the only primary rainforests in the world, with ancient trees, forests over 3000 years old, land of top predators, such as pumas, jaguars, etc.
Here the animals are more elusive and maintain their natural behavior, so it is more difficult to see them, but you can get a great surprise, like seeing a tayra hunting a sloth, or a puma hunting a spider monkey.
The main reason why we love this part of the tour is because of the interaction between prey and predators, even if it is just hearing or feeling them, it is something magical. We will walk on trails that only we walk, always looking for the purest and most adventure oriented.
Here you will feel the force of nature, you will feel small and spied.
In this part of the tour the speed of the walk is faster, mainly to be able to surprise the animals are very elusive and to arrive at the station before nightfall.
Once we have covered a total of 16km and arrived safe at the station, we will have dinner and get ready to rest, for today we lived enough adventure.
The next day, we wake up to the sounds of the jungle, have breakfast and recharge energy for the last part of the tour.
In this hike you will walk about 10 km, always visiting wild trails and away from humans.
You will have to opportunity to refresh in the river, and see a beautiful waterfall and we arrive at noon to los planes where we take the lunch and a 4X4 wait to take us back to Drake bay.

CORCOVADO PARK TOUR TWO NIGHTS
This option is ideal for exploring the main stations of the park, observing its contrasts and different ecosystems.
On the first day, we depart from the main beach of Bahía Drake at 6:00 am, taking a boat to the Sirena Station, where we will spend a day and a half. Once we disembark at Sirena Beach, we will check in at the station and begin the tour. We will start with a morning hike through the station’s trails, aiming to observe as many animals as possible until noon. Then, we will return to the station for our first lunch and rest a bit while the heat subsides, before continuing the hike in the afternoon. This last hike of the day will take us until sunset, and we will return to the station for dinner and rest. It’s important to note that night hikes are not allowed in Corcovado.
Second day
On the following day, we start early with a short hike at sunrise. Afterward, we return to the station for a hearty breakfast to recharge and continue. Then, we will take a hike until lunchtime, after which we will say goodbye to the Sirena Station. At noon, we will take the boat that will take us to the next part of the tour: San Pedrillo Station.
The boat departs from Sirena Beach and arrives at San Pedrillo Beach, where the adventure part of the tour begins. From here, the dynamic of the tour changes completely. We will hike from the beach to the refuge, where we will spend the night. This hike takes us deep into Corcovado’s primary forest, walking on pristine and uneven trails, with ascents and descents, fallen trees, and streams. This allows us to immerse ourselves fully in the jungle. Upon reaching the refuge, located in the heart of the forest between San Pedrillo and Los Planes, guests can enjoy a delicious dinner and, if desired, take a shower.
Third day
The third day begins with a hearty breakfast at the refuge before embarking on an adventurous hike through the Los Planes area. On this day, we will visit a beautiful waterfall, perfect for a refreshing dip, before reaching the village of Los Planes for the last lunch. After lunch, a 4×4 taxi will pick us up and take us back to the village.
It’s important to highlight that the portion of the tour in San Pedrillo and the second day in Los Planes focuses primarily on exploring and connecting with the primary forest, rather than animal observation. This is because in these wilder areas, wildlife sightings are far more unpredictable than in Sirena. During this part of the tour, the goal is to walk through the forest and learn to interpret it with all your senses, not just your sight.
What to expect from the tour?
This tour is ideal for photography and experiencing a bit of everything. You should know that the Sirena area is the most crowded part of the park, and the main objective here is animal observation. This is not an adventure tour, nor does it involve long hikes; rather, the walks are short and take place in flat, easy-to-navigate terrain.
The San Pedrillo section is more focused on observing and learning about the forest. Here, the tour becomes more of an adventure, as the trails are more uneven. At times, you’ll need to climb with a rope and may slip in the mud (if it’s the rainy season), cross rivers, and venture into the wilder and more pristine areas of the primary forest.
